On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, fourteen NipCA Fellows of the Sixth and Seventh Cohorts paid a courtesy visit to the Nippon Foundation. The Sixth Cohort Fellows, who will complete their master’s program this month, reported on the completion of their program and had a meeting with Mr. Sasakawa Yohei, Honorary Chairman of the Nippon Foundation. During the meeting, Mr. Sasakawa presented the Sixth Cohort Fellows with the “Sasakawa NipCA Fellow Certificate” and offered words of encouragement for their future success as the next generation of leaders who will build a better world. The Seventh Cohort Fellows reported on their arrival in Japan and expressed their gratitude to the Foundation.
In the 2025 academic year, six NipCA Fellows completed the Master’s Program in International Public Policy (Special Program in Japanese and Eurasian Studies), Degree Programs in Humanities and Social Sciences, and one is expected to complete it in six months.
As they return to their home countries, these NipCA Fellows are expected to serve as a bridge between Japan and Central Asia and to play a central role in the alumni network formed by The Nippon Foundation, the JACAFA Foundation, and the University of Tsukuba, contributing to the resolution of social challenges in the Central Asian region.
