Special consecutive public lectures for freshmen
Due to the global impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have decided to hold a series of public lectures for new students at the University of Tsukuba, who have been unable to lead a normal university life that has been previously taken for granted. The lectures are designed to encourage new students who have been struggling with online education upon their enrollment and aim to help students improve their intellectual curiosity and vitality essential for their future campus life.

Lecture Series “The Future of Central Eurasia and Japan”
The NipCA Project aims to contribute to the development of local communities through stimulating awareness about sustainability issues not only among NipCA Fellows, but also among faculty members, researchers and students in and out of the university. Since its establishment, the project has been holding a series of public lectures by experts on themes related to social and global issues facing the Central Eurasian region and Japan. These lectures are also part of the University of Tsukuba Super Global University (SGU) project.

Special Lecture and Discussion ‘’Central Eurasian Studies in East Asia and Beyond”
As part of the infrastructure-building activities of the Nippon Foundation’s Central Asia-Japan Human Resource Development Project, a series of public lectures entitled ”Central Eurasian Studies in East Asia and Beyond” will be held online. The series of lectures, will be held in English and Japanese. The purpose of this series is to introduce Central Eurasian Studies in Japan and East Asia in English and to promote research and human resource development in this field.
