We are pleased to announce the successful completion of joint courses on Introduction to Theories of International Relations and Sustainability Studies, conducted through a collaborative effort between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), the Special Program for Central Asian Countries, and the Nippon Foundation Central Asia-Japan Human Resource Development Project (NipCA) at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. The courses have been spearheaded by First Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Umarov Akram, Provost of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Tsukuba Prof. Usuyama Toshinobu, the Director of the Special Program for Central Eurasia at the University of Tsukuba, Prof. Dadabaev Timur.
Over the September 2024 – January 2025 period, 100 third-year undergraduate students from the Faculties of the International Relations, Political Science and International Economics at the UWED actively participated in and successfully completed these courses, contributing to a deeper understanding of global governance, sustainability, and regional cooperation. This initiative underscores the importance of international academic partnerships in fostering dialogue and capacity-building for the next generation of scholars and policymakers in Central Asia and beyond.
