On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the 7th cohort NipCA Fellows (MPH) Kick-off Meeting was held.
This spring, a student from Kazakhstan enrolled in the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program as the 7th cohort NipCA fellow.
In addition to the new MPH fellow, the kick-off meeting was attended by the 6th cohort NipCA fellows from the Special Program in Japanese and Eurasia Studies (SPJES) who enrolled in October 2024, as well as Professor Usuyama, Associate Professor Yamamoto, Assistant Professor Sono, and NipCA project staff.
In the meeting, Assistant Professor Sono gave an introduction of the new NipCA fellow and explained the overview and mission of the NipCA project. Next, Professor Usuyama, project administration director, welcomed the new fellows and expressed his expectations for his future success. Afterwards, Associate Professor Yamamoto introduced the NipCA project staff and explained the important things to be aware of while studying abroad, the support system, and future plans. We hope that the new fellows will have a fulfilling study abroad experience over the next two years.
