I am Yerzhomartova Ayazhan, a current Nippon Foundation fellow at the University of Tsukuba, pursuing a Master’s degree in Japanese and Eurasian Studies.

My academic focus lies in the intersection of the oil industry and environmental sustainability in Kazakhstan, with a particular emphasis on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. Through my studies, I aim to explore the sustainability trends and challenges faced by oil companies in Kazakhstan, contributing to the region’s sustainable transition.

I completed my undergraduate studies at KIMEP University in Kazakhstan, where I majored in Global Security and International Affairs. I have gained valuable experience through my academic and professional journey, which started early and has equipped me with both soft and hard skills for future endeavors. These experiences have strengthened my vision for future career.
