A total of 12 participants, consisting of five 6th-term NipCA fellows and seven exchange students from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Estonia, and Azerbaijan, took part in the “Japanese Company Internship Ⅱ” held at AMRITARA Co., Ltd.

The first session was held at the University of Tsukuba on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, where a lecture was given on the internship overview and presentation techniques.

On Thursday, May 29, during the second session, we visited the Amritara’s headquarters in Meguro, Tokyo, and toured the Amritara store in Omotesando. At the headquarters, we received detailed explanations about Amritara’s corporate philosophy, its deep commitment to its products and their raw materials, as well as its social contribution activities.

After that, we divided into three groups and began preparing presentations based on what we learned during the visit. The presentations focused on proposing to Amritara product ideas that incorporate unique raw materials from Central Asia, Estonia, and Azerbaijan, including strategies for importing, processing, and marketing them. After a one-month preparation period, a rehearsal was held at the University of Tsukuba on Wednesday, July 2, and during which the presentations were further refined based on feedback from fellow students and faculty members.

During the fourth session, held on Thursday, July 24th, we gave a presentation at Amritara’s headquarters and received many valuable comments from President Katsuta and the staff. For the students, it was a highly rewarding internship, providing them with the opportunity to directly learn about the philosophy of a Japanese company, the concrete processes and challenges from product planning to sales, and the company’s efforts toward social contribution.
