My name is Rashidova Rukhsora.

I am originally from Uzbekistan, Tashkent city. I completed my bachelor’s degree at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies in the direction of Far East Economy. During my studies at the University, I had the opportunity to deeply immerse myself in the culture and economy of Japan, study the Japanese language and participate in various cultural events.

After completing my third year of bachelor’s degree, I got the opportunity to do an internship at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan, organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I got acquainted with the activities of the embassy in all sectors of the economy, participated in meetings of diplomats with representatives of Japanese organizations. Seeing mutual interest in cooperation in all sectors of the economy, I determined for myself the further path of deepening and promoting the strengthening and development of cooperation between the countries.

I was attracted to the SPJES program due to its focus on sustainable development goals, an interdisciplinary approach to the study of Japan and Eurasia, considering key global challenges such as climate change, social justice, economic inequality and sustainable development. I am thrilled to be part of this programme and contribute to important research on the Sustainable Development Goals. It is an incredible opportunity to work on global issues that affect us all, and I look forward to using my knowledge and skills to create a sustainable future.
