FY2023 short-term Russian and Kazakh language training (37 days) was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan from Friday, February 16th to Friday, March 23rd, 2024. A total of 13 students participated from our university’s faculty, four first-year students, five second-year students, three third-year students, and one fourth-year student.
This training course was jointly developed as a special optional course called “Overseas Language Training Russian” by our university’s Global Communication Education Center and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, our Campus-in-Campus (CiC) partner institution. While the focus of their stay was on language training, the students were also able to have valuable experiences learning about Kazakhstan’s culture and social diversity through their daily lives with their host families and interactions with the local people.
