A total of 26 students, including 8 NipCA 5th-term Fellows and 18 exchange students from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, participated in the “Japanese Company Internship II” at Amina Collection Co., Ltd.

On Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, the students visited the head office of Amina Collection in Naka Ward, Yokohama, and toured the store and warehouse. Based on what they saw on the tour, they then worked on a presentation under the theme of “What kind of business plans and proposals could you make if you joined Amina Collection as a new employee? This presentation was to include the products, specialties, and folklore of their home countries in their business proposals, to create a plan that would serve as a bridge between Japan and Kazakhstan/Uzbekistan. Students rehearsed their presentations at Tsukuba University on Wednesday, July 17th, and improved them based on comments from fellow students and faculty members.

On Wednesday, July 31st, the students gave a presentation at the “Silk Road Ballroom” of the Amina Collection and received valuable comments from the staff of the Amina Collection. The internship proved to be a fruitful experience for the students, providing them with the opportunity to get a first-hand glimpse of the management policies, manufacturing processes, quality control and many other aspects of the business operations of a Japanese company.
