My name is Abdullayev Shokhrukh and I am from Uzbekistan.

In 2023, I graduated from Westminster International University in Tashkent with a degree in “Business Management with Marketing” and in the same year I entered the University of Tsukuba in the SPJES Master’s program in “International Public Policy”.

Despite my Bachelor’s degree in business, I have always been interested in the field of politics and international relations.  Therefore, as the topic of my research, I chose the role of Uzbekistan in the geopolitical arena of the 21st century, but then, realizing that this topic had been sufficiently studied, I decided to concentrate on problems with human rights in modern Uzbekistan in order to study this topic in more detail.

I learned about the University of Tsukuba from the Nippon Foundation and JACAFA, of which I have been a fellow since 2021.  This university and this program are an excellent opportunity for any student who values professional teachers, high-quality education, favorable conditions and Japan overall.  In the future, I am planning to become a valuable person, who will contribute to the development of my country and relations between Japan and Uzbekistan.
