On Monday, September 25, 2023, the graduation ceremony for the 3rd cohort NipCA fellows was held.

On this day, all six students who had enrolled in the Special Program in Japanese and Eurasian Studies (SPJES) in 2021 and successfully completed the entire program were awarded their master’s degrees.

Ms. Smanova Nargiza received the Best Paper Award for her work paper “Legal and Social Elements of Police Response to Domestic Violence Against Women in Kazakhstan”. Professor Usuyama, the NipCA project administration director, presented Ms. Smanova with the award, along with a commemorative ornament. The NipCA Staff shared their congratulatory messages and celebrated fellows’ achievements.

We are confident that the SPJES program and the NipCA Project will continue to serve as a bridge between Japan and Central Eurasia in the years to come.
