My name is Alisher Azimbayev, and I have graduated from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. I received a bachelor’s in political science and economics, where my main focus was political theories and political philosophy. My academic journey started with the research on the impact of social media during the Arab Spring. This study brought me to the sphere of political communication, where I further deepened my knowledge on the use of social media in political discourse.
During my bachelor’s, I have attended university-level conferences on economic development and political science, while discussing different issues South Korea has faced. This, together with my exchange semester in Japan, solidified my choice in Tsukuba University as the next step in my academic journey.
Now I plan to further investigate my topic and bring more ideas into the discourse of political communication. I hope to bring impact to my country by enlarging the existing literature.
