Greetings!
My name is Artur Temerkhanov, and I am from Kazakhstan. I graduated from
Nazarbayev University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations.
In order to gain experience in this field, I have worked at the Institute of Asian Studies and the Eurasian Media Forum. Apart from my main area of study, during recent years I have been highly interested in gender studies. Thus, this is why I decided to base my upcoming research project around the topic of female political participation in Kazakhstan.
As for the reasons to join the University of Tsukuba, it is worth mentioning that throughout the most part of my life I was always fascinated by Japanese culture and values.
Furthermore, I believe that the University of Tsukuba is one of the best academic institutions
across Japan.
Without a doubt, participation in the NipCA Project will help me to achieve excellent academic achievements, contribute to strengthen relations between Japan and Kazakhstan, and play my role in building a better global society.
