My name is Aitimbetova Aidai, and I am from Kyrgyzstan. I got my Bachelor’s degree in Japanese studies at Higher School of Economics in Moscow. This year after my graduation I came to the University of Tsukuba to continue my studies and get a Master’s degree.
The field of my interests has changed in the past few years. Even though the main topic of my research papers at the university was Japanese castle towns, two years ago I became really interested in student migration and decided to deepen my knowledge in this field.
I chose the University of Tsukuba since this university provides me with opportunities to achieve my goals, as I can not only obtain a high-quality education in Japan, but also study the Central Asian region, in particular, Kyrgyzstan.
