I am Saikal Suiunbekova from the Kyrgyz Republic. I have graduated from the American University of Central Asia in 2018. Since that time, I was working for JICA’s project “One Village One Product” which supported local people and developed rural areas through inclusive business in one of the northern regions of Kyrgyzstan. I could learn a lot about rural development and local empowerment through this project. Therefore, I would like to connect my research with these topics and how inclusive business can help to reach sustainability in Kyrgyzstan. Through the Nippon Foundation Fellowship program, I think, I can gain very valuable experiences not only in the academic sphere but also in the cultural and social spheres of Japan.
