On October 7-9, 2022, NipCA Project researcher  Aizada Badiyeva participated in the 81st Annual Scientific Meeting of Japanese Society of Public Health Conference, which was held on-site for the first time since the pandemic in Yamanashi Prefecture. The main theme was “Innovations in Public Health – Identifying Essence and Driving Change”. Aizada Badiyeva was given an opportunity to present my poster titled “Cause-specific standardized mortality by region in Kazakhstan” under the supervision of Professor Yukiko Wagatsuma.

During these three days Aizada Badiyeva had a chance to participate in oral and poster presentations of public health professionals from different parts of Japan. She has been given good comments which shaped the view of her master’s thesis work even further and Aizada Badiyeva will continue working around the risk factors of cardiovascular diseases.

While being amongst interesting scientists and researchers, she said that also felt very inspired by Kofu, which is a very dynamic city surrounded with great mountain Fuji.
